Welcome to EHS Safety Training! EHS is committed to the safety and well-being of its faculty, staff, students, and visitors. EHS offers a variety of information, training, and resources for occupational health and safety topics. Our goal is to provide timely and effective training to Virginia Tech personnel and assist departments with establishing an effective safety program.

Class Schedule and Registration

View a list of trainings, class descriptions, and upcoming class dates, times, and locations for Virginia Tech personnel. You must preregister for all classes due to limited space and/or class size restrictions (i.e. first aid or CPR). Many awareness level classes are available online.

Online Safety Training

EHS offers a variety of online safety training to serve the campus community.

Radiation Safety Training

Online training is available through the Radiation Safety Office.

• Certification to operate analytical, cabinet, and diagnostic x-ray equipment
• Certification to be involved with nuclear medicine work at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital (Blacksburg) or the Equine Medical Center (Leesburg)
• Maintain certification to use radioactive material in laboratories
• The Radioactive Material Safety Training videos are available online.

Resources

EHS offers a variety of videos, safety meeting topics, inspection checklists, and other information to assist supervisors with their health and safety program.
