Program Summary

Applies to:

This program applies to all Virginia Tech employees with workplace noise exposures greater than 85 dBA averaged across an 8-hour work day.

Requirements:

• an initial hearing test (baseline audiogram)
• yearly hearing test and training
• fitting for Hearing Protection Devices (HPDs) such as ear plugs or ear muffs
• wearing hearing protection when required
