Anyone with occupational exposures to human blood, tissue, body fluids or other potentially infectious material of human origin must be offered the Hepatitis vaccination series by his/her employer. It is recommended that individuals who qualify should have the vaccination but it is not required. The vaccination is paid for by EHS for those who have potential for occupational exposure to Bloodborne Pathogens while working at Virginia Tech.
