Respiratory Protection

Is training mandatory?  If so, when?  Yes.  Personnel who use respirators to control exposure to a chemical, particulate or other respiratory hazard must be trained.  This training is performed at the time the respirator is first issued.

Class length:  1 hour

Available online:  Yes For students and off campus personnel.

When is refresher training required?  Annually

Upcoming classes:  Included during your annual fit test.  EHSS will contact you to schedule.  Supervisors with new employees must contact Zack Adams, Co-Director, at 231-5985 or adamsz@vt.edu
